Fundamentalist activists in the States tried to disrupt (and in a certain sense, partially succeeded) a prayer in a Senate gathering from a different religion. You have got to watch the video to believe that such impudence is actually occurring.
I am known to be a firm advocate of inter-faith tolerance and mutual respect, and my friends, where is the respect in this case?? This saddens me immensely, yet simultaneously acts as a constant reminder to all of us not to take cross-cultural and inter-religious harmony for granted, but rather to treat it as an issue which requires the constant effort of all fronts to maintain.

Watch how Charlie Aponte starts off as the main cantante, and then invites other singers on stage, whereupon the whole descarga session becomes a playground for the soneros! :) This is truly in the spirit of true soneros.
