But stop! Wait. Think. Mother Nature and her wards never deserve to be treated in such a retributory manner. Stingrays have never been known for voluntary aggression; instead they are docile creatures which will only retaliate against serious provocation. It is foolish, to say the least, to begin a stingray massacre just because one of its species very accidentally caused the death of your hero in its self-defence. Steve himself would have been ashamed at this dishonourable massacre.
The heart twinges in pain, to hear of every one of these majestic fish - beautiful creatures in Nature's scheme of things - meeting with an untimely death at a barbarian's hands.
