A view of the Lembeh Strait, running between mainland Sulawesi and Pulau Lembeh.

Just take a look at the layout of the resort. The effort invested in making the area cosy was truly something.

Every Balinese-style wooden room has a private verandah, from which you can command presiding views over the strait.

A view from the top of an adjacent ridgeline..

And this is the main dive centre and dive office..

The dive preparation / briefing area.. Notice the individual racks for stowing of equipment - a very neat touch.

Our diveboat, replete with a friendly and very helpful crew.

And this is what got me most excited - a dedicated camera dry room to house our underwater systems, and to provide a separate space for us photographers to perform system maintenance (which is, by the way, a terrible hassle).

Lembeh diving is all about diving in calm mirror-like shallows, over a substratum of black volcanic sand, hunting around for the weird, wonderful, and ugly critters that make up the thrill of muck diving.

And finally, a small illustration of the dive sites from Lembeh Resort.
Divers: Highly recommended, this.. : )
