Yesterday night brought yet another unexpected surprise. Strong insistent hands thrust me into the centre of the circle where I was supposed to play snatch-the-lead to give Josee her birthday dance, and in turn surrender the lead to the next salsero waiting in the wings. It was - needless to say - highly unexpected, and I only wish that I had given Josee a nice twenty seconds or so, out of her memorable first-ever birthday dance. The track was lovely though.. Sonido Bestial! The first time that I had socialed to that accented song! : )

When you take dance lessons, you learn steps, steps and more steps. Then one day, you learn how to dance, and it is just so different.
