Paying a visit to the contractors at work on the Bishan loft yesterday took a turn for the worse halfway through - I knew I should not have agreed to accompany the parents. It took much deep breathing and repression of those silent screams within my chest to keep me from voicing opinions that surely would have pushed Dad to his breaking point. But pray tell, somebody, anybody, how does one attempt to convince an obstinate elder figure that his long-held views of rationality and logic do not mix well with a eruptive tendencies? Argh.

It felt quite weird at Union last night, with Jacq and me missing the now-familiar figure of Cady. Nevertheless, it appears as if there has been a breakthrough in my interpretation of the music, and subsequently, in my enjoyment of social dancing. Don't think too much. Just feel the music and dance what seems to fit the ambient mood most naturally. In the coming weeks, let me observe if this mantra proves true.
And yes, Nat, I will take you there after your papers. Rally up your class for me, won't you? : )
