Recent weather patterns in and around the island state have become more than a little extraordinary. Winds bring layer on layer of lifeless grey puffs, heavy with the slight drizzle that falls on us in continuous sheets, drenching and re-drenching all in hesitant coldness.
Beyond the misty glass panes stained incongruently by random raindrops, the first of the soaked leaves begin to fold in on their alternating sorrows. He reaches out numbed fingers, sprawling them across a cool glass surface. And he traces, slightly, gradually, the silhouette of those very leaves, as the last of the flowers begin their slow bewitched droop.
