Was a guest at the HSBC PremierCard gourmet culinary demonstration session at the Raffles Culinary Academy this noon, and I must say that I am so grateful for the opportunity to witness such a culinary sharing session. French-Italian fusionesque gastronomy, oh le talent Francais, e sapore Italiano! And for the first time ever, I understand why charismatic chefs like Anthony Bourdain and Jamie Oliver can hold sway over global audiences - I was blown away by the French chef's wit in and around the cosy kitchenplace, and of course, not to mention the chiselled windswept looks.
Creamed gnocchi in fungi cepe blend.
Pan-seared sole ala Parma copa.
Tartiflette.
Pineapple brulee with fresh mango sorbet.
And that maketh our delightful smorgasboard. Absolument merveilleux.. : )
On a lighter note, it was amusing to see the socialite tai-tais attempting to outcompete one another in flirting with our chef, the man of the moment.. And it was also quite horrifying that two of the tai-tais apparently turned their attentions to me instead by spending an inordinate amount of time finding out about me, as if I were being interviewed as a potential toyboy. One only hopes that their looks were purely inquisitive, and not of lascivious nature!

The prospective godsister expresses her worries in a late-night online rendezvous, mirroring his own doubts and fears and insecurities borne of the cumbersome weight of prior over-expectations. Then she asks, if he could ask only one question of her, what would he.
A thousand questions burn yet not one dares to take its precedence over any other.
May time, then, wind its knowing course, and show him the light forward.
